Aerator keeps dying

I have a ryan aerator that runs fine but when I try and start aerating it keeps dying on me. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Just a stab in the dark consdering you failed to provide any engine info.

My guess is that the Ryan is Honda equipped--most likely a GX160, at least that's what I've seen the most of.

I'd start with a carb clean up. The following link may not be referring to your exact carb but the nuts and bolts of cleanup will be similar--that is, if it's a Honda.

What's the model, type and code? Likely stamped in the blower housing near the plug.
