side truck storage box on a trailer?

I don't need my 14ft trailer always and in a couple places it is hard to get it parked.. unless 2 blocks away. I put together a 5x8 HD trailer with trimmer rack /3500 dexter axle/ drop ramp added, ect. Due to size and space I'm wondering about mounting a aluminum side tool/storage box across the front rail so it partially drops into trailer but high enough to get mower fronts under it. I really only would keep string and misc stuff and maybe a hand leaf blower in it. I perfer not to add a "A' frame box out front -Anyone done this or simular?

I am doing a similar design on my new 12 footer. I have stake pockets up frount and plan on making a box that can hold all the crap that i never seem to use. Also makes it removable because of the pockets.

sounds good cutting edge..

Thanks on response. Like the idea on removable utilizing the stake pockets. Is your box going to be on top of front rail/ partially inside the 12'space.. or in front of front rail?

I think it will be on top of the front rail or all the way inside the trailer. About 3 feet up so i can still use the space under it.

They're great to keep things like extra belts, tow ropes and chains, line, the little 2 stroke oil bottles, extra blades and tools, sprinkler parts, etc.
