Northern tool sells alot of motors, and for pretty cheap. Not sure if I saw a 23 Kohler, but they definately have the 27 and from my understanding they will bolt in the same, but dont quote me on that. Its just what ive heard

Hey Turbo, just in case you'd like to purchase from an authorized Kohler Engines dealer, here's a link to help you find the dealers in your area: http://khlr.co/fYMJ. –Cindy

Hey Landrus2, great question! Sometimes our original equipment manufacturers purchase an excessive amount of our engines which could lead to them having a surplus. As a result, they’ll sell the surplus to other third party retailers at a reduced rate, thus you get varied pricing. Many people still choose to purchase from our dealers because of the support and service they receive after the sale. -Cindy

Hey man, we repower nearly all motors that go out with the new 30hp cyclonic. You can buy for $899the off ebay and have someone throw on for you for $100. No brainer for a $1000 total, and you have an engine rated at 2800 hours. 5 stage cyclonic system is no joke i have nearly 300 running around. I am proud to say that briggs is back on top in my shop anyways. Nothing cheaper to fix out there either...
