1600 for the smaller property. Try to upsell him on fertilizer along with a pH test. But don't pressure to much as he is giving you two good jobs. Just recommend some other services that will benefit him.

Folks here are trying to help you understand the cost of doing business.
Yours, not everyone else's.

They don't rent equipment so as to lose money so if you are renting the equipment that means you'll be working for free as you will be covering the costs of the rental business in addition to your own and there simply won't be anything left to draw on a profit... And if you price it high enough to circumvent that, you're ripping the customer off.

Now you know how to price a job based on rental costs.

I dont think renting a aerator is a bad idea to buy a new one it can run about 2500, divide that by 36 working months that comes out to about $70 a month. If you can make 650 dollars from doing a 60,000 sq ft property and a 90,000 sq ft why not take it? Even if he charges 500 and it takes 2 days to complete everything and the rental cost $65 a day ($130 total) thats still a 370 profit (minus fuel) on just the aeration service.

Another case of area pricing. In his/my area ,I can get guys all day long to roll the lawn with a 1 ton roller for 50-75 bucks each. Aerating another 100 each .Seed,Tractor supply and be charged another 150-300 bucks so for both places about 500.00

That's my price using rental equipment and the proper seed rate. Have you bought any seed lately?

Just went and priced the seed, and the Tri blend Scott's that he wants us to use is going to cost about $1800-$2000- alone for just the seed.... so im thinking the job is going to be around $3000

Anyone else have any price points for me for the job??
