It's not that I'm against outsourcing tasks that are outside the core business. Clearly I'm not, as I do it in other areas. But this shows the value of understanding what that provider is doing for the money you're spending. Holy crap.

Old saying stands true, you get what you pay for. When reputable companies with long stand case history charge $xxx a month to do it, and you go with someone who claims to do it for half or less... there that is the sign.

As I tell others, no company that has to try to solicit SEO work is worth anything. Companies that do it well, they have strong word of mouth referrals. Their clients are their sales force.
