B&S 20hp starting problem

I have a B&S 20 hp (Model 40G777-0166-E1) on a Country Clipper that has just recently developed a starting problem. From cold start, choked, it will not fire. (it used to start perfectly.) A quick shot of starting fluid, and it fires and runs perfectly. (My preference is not to use starting fluid!) Cooled down overnight, same thing next morning. Using non-alcohol gas in the tank.

Could this be a fuel pump problem?

Thanks
Chris

Is your choke cable broken? Might be causing your starting issues.

As it turned out, the in-line fuse thru the ignition was burned, but not burned out. One of the legs was really burned. Replaced the 30A fuse and all seems OK now. Thanks again

The choke was not the problem. With the motor running, and pulling out on the choke, the motor choked down.
