How do you open pvc glue?!?

I know this is random, but i have NEVER been able to open a bottle of pvc glue. It always results in a mutilated bottle with glue all over my hands. Any old wisdom on opening these little S.O.B.s

Channel lock. So you can't open a bottle so you buy a new one?
