Actually I forgot to tell you, while I was at the new customers house giving him a quote for hedge trimming and lawn maintenance he asked me if I had my own tools for hedge trimming and I said yes. He's said I could use his WORX trimmer, but I said its ok I have my own tools. I still got the JOB! I know your not worried about whether or not you got the job as much as you are worried about being offended. It won't be the last time it happens either....

It was an honest question that you took the wrong way.

The person was probably used to dealing with neighborhood kids and was looking for an actual company like yours but you missed the whole point because you were offended. Nice job on that one!

I don't do enough saw work to justify spending much, so I bought the Ryobi expand-it pruner with an extension and a Poulan 16"saw. (I already had the toro 2cyl head)

They work fine for light stuff, but I doubt I'd be able to sell either of those If I wanted too.

Insulted? Why? I've had people walk down the street by my trailer with mowers on it and ask me do I cut grass. It does stun you for a second but insulting? No way.

Not going to look at the job because they asked if you had the right equipment?

Are YOU serious?

You missed a great chance to really talk about your business and your equipment.

I wish someone would ask me. I'd throw so much info their way they couldn't help but hire me on the spot.
