if it's got that many piles ask them to pick it up before you mow or tell them you can't mow it until they do so.

Did that several times.I like the ones who ***** at me when they have crap on their drive or walk from my tires or shoes. I'm just at the point I really won't take them anymore

That is disgusting, who is this slob?
Give him one warning you want the manure cleaned up.
If it doesn't happen, don't go back. Period.

Another idea, mow around each pile leaving the yard looking like a dalmatian. It will take some more time to do, but you have to chuckle inside when you think of what the customer would say

People forget I have two dogs, they poop and I'm no stranger to it.
It may also help to understand, I've been landscaping a bit longer than three days.
Put another way, the stock market crash of October 2008 started the Great Recession.
That was during my 7th year.

When it comes to hard times, I ain't no stranger.
And as for things customers do, I done seen it all.
One day it simply got to that point, I stopped giving a damn.

Sometimes, especially when there's no tool(s) around,
I just pick it up with my bare hands.

Only takes once or twice me doing that, they know right away that stuff don't bother this guy.
You can bet, ALL my customers pick up after their critters.

1-Charge to pick up the crap before the cut.
2-Charge him for the carwash and time off your route to clean the crap off.
3-Drop him.
4-If you have time and it is possible to make a point mow around the dog crap let the grass grow around the crap and if he complains, explain choices 1 through 3.
5-Explain how he needs to pick up dog crap or you will have to do choices one through three.

4 choices right there other than running them over with a mower.

It's great isn't it? I flung crap all over the side of a guys car because of his lack of picking up the ****. He bitched and complained. I stood there and waited until he was done and then dropped the bomb on him. I asked him to either clean up after his dog or I'll do it and pile it on the front door step. The next week he had a pooper scooper and container.

dog crap is weird. i've had dogs all of my life and they never pooped in my yard. they always go in the woods or somewhere but never in the yard.

we never locked our dog up in a fence though. they were free to roam around.

Exactly the reason I don't have mutts. I don't want my small kids stepping in that stuff (or worse). I also don't want to have kill spots or have to pick that junk up before mowing. Yuck, yuck, just yuck. No thanks. I don't take mow custs anymore if they have crap in their yard.
