curved Kubota blades

A few years ago I bought a Kubota ZD326. Excellent mower but I found that the blade edges are actually curved (more toward the end). Is this supposed to improve the cutting action of the blade? Not easy to maintain that curve when re-sharpening. Also was wondering if these blades can still be used in the convetional sharpeners with that curved edge. Any thoughts/comments on this appreciated.

Regards. kevin
