Backflow Preventer

New to the forums here....

Can I expect to find a backflow preventer at Home Depot for Lowe's for a sprinkler system install? I seem to be having a problem locating one, should I be looking elsewhere?

HD and Lowes usually have a PVB from Febco and/or Watts, but I have never seen an RP there.

DanaMac,

Thanks for the info... maybe I just missing them. I've asked a couple of floor guys, and they've indicated they have seen them in a while.

They (HD, Lowe's, Menards, etc.)may or may not have them (PVB) but you'll end up paying more, if they do have them, than you'll pay at a supply house, or at least I do.

Yea, they might carry them. You also can find the test procedures online.

If you aren't going to maintain the BFA then why install one?
