Just Bought a Craftsman 1000 for $50

Ok I bought this thing from a chinese guy who said it hasnt run in 2 years, there is no gas in it and it wont turn over at all, im going to test the battery and add fuel, what else would yall suggest.

I just bought a 1/4 in SnapOn ratchet for $50....
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get more work out of it...and it will be around long after that Craftsman has been recycled...

Seriously CJ...Do everything you know to get that mower running...Then...
When you have a specific problem...chime in and maybe we can point you in the right direction...

Ok so I put a new gas tank and fuel line in, new gas, new battery, the mower will now crank but wont start, im switching the spark plug today, air filter and oil look fine. any other ideas?

did you try spraying starting fluid in the carb?
