bet after he paid off all that crap he was quite profitable. gas is jsut nutz expensive.

he even had his enclosed trailer rigged up where he could charge all the batteries in it.

he also lived in a city where all the yards were small. he's probably making a ton of money and getting calls every day.

He bought all electric. Look for his post in the Pictures threads; the thread was actually asking for critiques of a CL ad. I believe he was in Vancouver. It was a VERY cool rig.

Also, I think the new Stihl battery-powered handhelds might hold their own, at least for "light" commercial use

sounds very expensive. although. at the cost of gas it is kinda tempting.

kind hard for an electric motor to have them kind of problems.

There is a machine that Lowes was selling; it was powered by an inboard genny, but the drive and blade motors were electric. Kinda cool, actually.

hustler zeon is probably the best ztr electric mower out there. i think it lasts about 1hr per charge. wouldn't last all day but if you only had a few big yards to do it could work for you and you could use the pushmowers for the small yards.
