Anyone know what this tool is called? I would like to get another one. It is what the golf course use and I actually 'borrowed' it from a golf course. It is the best damn tool when spreading sand.

Looks like a mortar mixing hoe.

That's called a lawn level. They do a great job on short cut grass. You can find a bunch of different one's here.

I still like my long bristle pushbrooms for sanding work.

I'm going to the beach at the OBX for a week July 5-13th so I'll put the sprinklers on electronic timers and have my neighbor keep an eye on them while I'm gone. Hopefully when I return, it will have filled in pretty good.
Can you please take photos of your river sand.

Started the process tonight. Scalped the lawn down as low as the tru-cut would go. I had been mowing at 5/8" (3rd notch) for the last couple weeks so it wasn't a huge amount to take off. The front yard barely looks scalped. The backyard shows it more since it's much thicker due to being in full sun all day. I'll throw down the fert (46-0-0 urea) in the morning before we get started. I was gonna throw down the fert tonight but I wasn't sure it was gonna rain...and what do ya know... It's pouring right now as I type this...Doh! It'll get watered in tomorrow after I setup the sprinklers.
Also, I core aerated the lawn two weeks ago.

The sand is suppose to be delivered between 8-8:30 tomorrow morning. More pics to come tomorrow.
