That's hard to imagine. I'm running Lucas 15w-40 in my 27HP Generac and am only adding about 1/4 quart over 100 hours. I've got 350 hours on it now. Running it in my 27HP Kohler as well with the same consumption as 10w-30.

That was on my 06 3372 since then I been running 10w30. The first year I had to make sure to keep a gal on hand it would use a gal in 100 hrs
I called Dixie Chopper they said that's normal usage. They said should slow down once the motor breaks in I said its on it third oil changed.
So I talk to dealer ask them if I changed the oil would it void my warranty he said no So switch to 10w30 and now it has 2,000 hrs burns same as it did when it had its first drink of 10w30 at 400 hrs usage is about a quart every 100 hrs
My 2010 and 2011 3372 Once I bought them got them home I drained the all oil in the motor and the hydros Put in 10w30 and 20w50 castrol

Going buy another one My work load double last week

Snyders , you have a lot of dixie know how. I have a xt3300 (60"). Do you run with the front of the deck 1/4 inch lower? Also what tire pressures do you run? I seem to remember you did something to the decks on yours? Cutting a baffle out or something?

Just picked this up today and want it to cut A1 sorry for all the questions. Do you run the little plastic washer on the blades? One spacer , two or none on the metal spacers? Thanks!

Side chute baffle I remove and the 2 center ones I cut out
my 01s had a weld in baffles and my 05 didn't just a bolt on baffle My new 13 3360 only had a bolt on baffle The ones I have 88,92,95 never had a baffle they cut nice and decks stays cleaner
I like my blades to be in the deck so the scalp rollers do there job I run fiber washer + 1 spacer
1/4 to 1/2 forward pitch
Tires I run HD field trac on the rear on 60'' I run 4-5lbs air
Buy the Roll lift Oregon Blades, Don't buy OEM blades

My new 3360 is a horse Hope you enjoy your 3300

Thanks for all the info! Mine is an 08 I believe and I think I will like it. I will check the deck and see what I need to remove. If you have a deck like that and can post some pictures or even txt them I would be very grateful!

What pressure do you run in front?

Z

Thanks again!!!
