Dealing with drunk clients

Since we are on a public forum and all I wont go into to much detail...

But the other night this guy was up my a$$ about a main and wire his "installer" laid underneath some sod 10 years ago or so...

First he tried to tell me my company installed this system..I laughed at him...
Overloaded zones 10-12 pgps on a 12 gpm 35 psi POC.

For over 200$ worth of repairs he kept having me chase areator holes in an hacked main..He was wasted and treats his wife like trash. His wife is a really nice woman who loves gardens and plants..

After 7 pm or so I said that's it....He tried to have me keep going fixing the mainline repairs..I said if he wanted anymore fixed he would need to go to homedepot and do it himself..

I have dealt with this guy for 5+ seasons and he gets worse and worse..

With people like this I don't hold back.granted I don't swear and talk nasty but I don't take his sh!t, and when I leave I pray its the last time I'm going there.

How do you all deal with them?

There becomes a point where people can no longer hide behind being old, crippled or impared Ed.

I bet this is no secret to your boss or local folks and he should back you up no matter what you decide.

My boss backs me up and actually takes my opinion if i voice it strong enough as I do his...

even when we both make mistakes we back eachother up as a crew should do...
a coach will always back up his players and vice verse or should..This client is in the bottom 10%..

I did a walk through with a customer that swore we weren't getting good coverage. System was great, and he was hammered. I stuck the remote receiver in the smart port when he wasn't paying attention, and pretended like I had crazy powers as I was going through the zones.

The guy called me the next day and apologized.
