2002 exmark walkbehind/beltdriven tranny problem

it'll run straight on flat dry turf , but it wont go up inclines (including barely making it up trailer ramp) and it needs to be manually pushed to make most turns . im wondering thoughts on whats wrong and if anyone has a link to a thread / video on rebuilding the tranny on one ?
