Help plz!!!!

I am new to the site looking for help before i spend the money and have someone fix it.. I have a 2011 craftsman riding mower model #28857 24hp 46" cut I think it is vapor locking on me after running for about 45 min it starts to stumble as if its running out of gas and I can crack the gas cap and it straightens out??? Somebody help me!!!

The gas cap isn't venting properly, Make sure the vent hole in the cap is not blocked, Dirt dobbers luv little holes.....

Or...... Just replace the cap......

Ok thanks just bought the mower from someone.... Where would the vent hole be located bc my gas cap is on the left side tank under the seat???

Vent hole is in the top of the cap, It's about the size of a pin head.....
