Take it for what its worth. When I was just mow and go I averaged 1k per accnt per year. When we started offering full service the revenue DOUBLED. Youre right, not everone of your mowing customers is goung to bite on spraying. But once you get one, they start coming in droves. Its a ton easier to pick up a spray customer vs mow. Read up, get licensed, get the word out, and start making a real living.

Your crew gross will vary across regions. Are you paying them 12/hr or 9/hr. are you running 2 mowers? Average residential lawn $30 or $40

All will factor in on cost.

I second that, I've been working by myself for 20 yrs. now averaging 62 residential mowing a week in the West coast of FL. all year round clients with no complains. I average about $52,000 a yr., I start at 7:30 am and done by 2:00 pm no weekends. All off my lawns are within two to three block radius @ day consisting off 11 homes or so in one day, in one block alone I cut 13 lawns. So, my schedule is tight very little travel time, I run a good system when cutting must lawns withing 15 min. 4 or six in one hr. using 36" Wright Sentar (great for small gates) I maintain my own equipment, no torn equipment because of the other person who doesn't care attitude. Yep! I agree solo is great for me.....

There is an older poster here on lawnsite worked for numerous bigger Co. that flat out said, "If you're going to mow then mow solo". This works for smaller properties but there is a break point where the 2nd person pulls their full weight on larger accounts.

Problem with strickly solo is injuries, personal life issues with sick family members and issues along those lines.

How about selling man hours to answer your question. If your rate is $50 per man hour each man will generate $2000 if you get 40 billable hours in a week. Job cost all business with time tracking
