Triclopyr(Amine) + Gly applied to the cut stalks should slow down the production rate of this bamboo.
In a area of 10 X 20 is not a easy task for uprooting as this stuff does send out Rhyzomes. You will have to dig out significant amounts of soil to get most roots but often what root grafts left unseen will reappear.
Tell this customer, nature allows this stuff to survive and multiple applications will be needed to eliminate it completely.
