230 / 150

I found out through a friend the other night about 3 businesses which are going to consolidate and sell. The 3 businesses when put together would have about 230 clients. I believe about 4 or 5 employees. 85% of the lawns are under an acre in size. Most of the lawns are located within 3 towns which are all right next to eachother. There are about 30 or 40 which are located in about 2 or 3 other towns, which are not too far off. For the most part the companies are mow n' go. Not top of the line properties, while at the same time, no trailer parks. Lots of room for expansion with regards to landscaping and fert. My friend is the one who is going to be heading up the consolidation and sale from what I can tell. He is asking for roughly $150,000.00 no equipment though.

Thoughts?

How much does the company gross monthly. That seems quite expensive for only 230 medium-end clients. Are they all on contract? Need more details!

That price seems really high to me. For $150,000, I expected you to finish up saying that in came with 2 trucks and a boatload of equipment. Just my .02 cents.

I am really just guessing on the price. Also, I do not know what the companies gross. I do know however that none of the equipment is worth taking. Better off to just buy everything new. Also, nobody is on contracts.

Hummm, let's see...

230 accounts x $50 average(?) x 30 times a year = $345,000 Gross.

Those people are dreaming, especially with no equipment to go along or contracts either. I'll pass on that one, thank you.

Rodfather

Thats funny. I though exactly the same thing the first time i read it. Is that a typo??? Too many zeros?

Than i waited for him to say it came with enough equipment to cut the state of Maryland in one day!
