Many folks will say "the DOT laws vary state to state". This is not exactly true. First of all the FEDERAL DOT laws do NOT vary. They are the same in all 50 states. 2nd - the STATE DOT laws may vary, yes. However, most states simply adopt the Federal DOT laws.

I know that you are right about this but with this being law , why is it that you don't need numbers pulling a camper or boat or do you.If you don't because its non commercial what stops me from running my dump trailer with no numbers and telling the officer when he pulls me to mine his own business I'm getting stone for my driveway.

He may be right about it in Maryland, but not all states.

It's because it's not a commercial vehicle, by definition.

You can tell the officer that all day every day, sooner or later he's going to catch on.

Like my neighbor who is a police officer who borrowed someone's dump trailer and last week had it loaded so full of soil it's amazing the bolts that hold the trailer hitch to the frame of the truck didn't break.

Motor homes and campers?? They sit 10 months out of the year and then they get taken on vacation with dry rotten tires!

Mark buddy.

You're like a 17 yr old stressing out about why I say, do, and think.

As I stated earlier in this thread - I'm not one bit concerned about about other places other than where I drive. What happens in Ankara Turkey or Salt Lake City Ut, is furthest from my mind

Ok, have a great weekend!

That weigh station on I-93 can be brutal. I always avoid it when possible.
