Should certified applicator be paid while a RT under him is working?

Wondering if a registers technician is out spraying and the certified applicator who he works under via phone call is on his day off if he should b paid? I guess he would still have to answer the phone rtc

Unless He's salaried I think he has to be compensated in some way. I can't remember exactly the law but I know the maintenance guys at a building I do work for have an on call guy on the weekends.

They end up getting like 2 hrs pay no matter if they get called in or not. Little different if you just need to answer the phone.

Kinda what I am thinking just to cover bases as well, very rare does the rt have any issuies but we have had a random inspection before where the inspector called the fully licensed applicator checking on things, all went smooth
