Is there a preferred engine(gas vs dsl) and is there a fuel savings over a f350 pulling a covered trailer at 8 1/2 mpg.

Fuso doesn't have a gas we average 13mpg. Isuzu will give you and option, expect a gas saving somewhat because you'll hailing less weight around. Pick your engine on how many miles you're gonna drive and how long long you'll keep the truck.

One thing I will add is the height. So mark the dash and windshield with the height of the truck!

What size box do you have and what equip. Are you hauling. I would need to haul two 60" ZTRs and a walk behind plus handheld. About 20,000 miles per year. Any recommendations?
Thanks for any input

i think ours is 16' we haul a walker and either a ferris walk behind OR our wright zk. you'd have no problem hauling 2 ztr but if you want a bigger box the folks at SLT make them and you could always get rid of the dumper that we have to have. you'll be fine with diesel or gas.

The guys with the box trucks, where do you put grass clippings? Or do you just mulch them?

Go to www.superlawntrucks.com and look at the photos. The dumpers make for an awesome setup.

I don't bag anything but could you use a dump insert at the front of a open landscape bed? I'm in the OBX and finally saw my first NPR lawn truck. They were all open bed reg cab and crew cab. When I get back i am ordering my bi fold ramps ASAP.

NPR's are very common down here. I plan on buying one in the next couple of years.
Have fun! Where you staying? I'm headed up there next Friday for a week. Our family is renting two houses in Duck this year (27 people).
