Hot rubber crack filler

I have a real interesting question for all you seal coaters. My parents got their driveway entirely done in hot rubber crack filler. I've never heard of this being done, can anyone chime in? Mind you the driveway was in great shape.

$325. Makes no sense to me either. Some guy traveling around doing it. It wasn't done very well either. It was put on the sidewalk and on the cement inside the garage.

Sounds like hot oil and a typical Gypsy install. To do a drive in hot rubber would cost a fortune.

Its a good size. My parents are older, so I think they may have been had. I just know nothing was taped off, looks bad and were basically told oh well about it getting everywhere. I'll take pictures later if I find the time.

If that was done in rubber, I would think it's going to start to lift and peel in the future, and then look like crap!
