99 walker needs engine

Just joined the site, looking for a mower/project and found a 99 walker mower with a missing motor. guy said it was 20hp, the question i have is what replacement engine do i need. I know very little about these also. Besides the motor everything is there and looks to be in good condition even the tires. Asking price is $400 too
thanks

Youd have to find out exactly what came off it via the model and serial numbers, but this is close and would get you thinking about how much a motor may cost and you can weigh what the machine is really worth.

Kohler does not make the 20hp anymore.
We just replaced a 20hp with a 23hp.
Here is the link to the engine that you need.
It is specific for a Walker

Its only going to be worth about 1500 seeing as its a 99, so it wouldnt be a machine to flip to make cash, but a good one to run and make money

How many hours are on the hydros and the final drives?
The frames were not as beefy as they are now and are prone to cracking.
It is hard to put a price on something that we can't see.

ok so i was able to get the mower for $350 its in decent shape and everything is there. new hydro's, wiring harness etc. then i found an engine that needs one cylinder head i got that for $100. Im going to order the parts today and hopefully get it going within the next month. Im guessing ill have about $800-$1000 by the time im done, which seems good to me. I found one with no engine for $1500 too.
