Impatiens

I've planted hundreds this year (KC metro area) and they have done very well. Yes they may be a boring annual but customers love them.

That's good to hear, i hate they are having problem's. I've used, i don't know how many flat's over the year's. The only people they might be boring to are hard core flower people, the average person could care less. As long as there is color, that's what count's. And that is what impatiens is good for, maintenance free color from early spring until the first frost. Hopefully, some plant pathologist, somewhere, will figure out the problem and fix it. You know those flower's have got to be big business.

Look into if you have Downey Mildew in your area.

Last year 100+ flats I replaced because of the same issue. Turned out to be Downey Mildew, and this year very few growers are even bothering to grow impatiens.
