Hiya From TN

Just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone. I have been considering mowing yards for some time now. I worked on a large outfit on the side for 2 years and had a good time. 3 years ago I got hurt on the job and I have decided to give it a shot. I will be starting out humbly with a Simplicity 42" mower in excellent shape. All of my other tools are Stihl, and all are new. I am looking to maybe do 10-20 years a week to start out. It will be me and my son and no overhead. When I get the money I plan to buy a Scag walk behind with a sulky, it seems I can get a lot more mower for less cost than a zero turn that way, idk. Any advice is welcome. Oh and I'm not getting into this to get rich, just to live a little and try to be of use to society, but mostly to help buy momma new shoes.

Welcome, I mow mostly in Anderson and Campbell county. If you can "get in good" with a Realtor you can get some good work, but it comes and goes as the houses are sold. There's a lot of new competition around here lately, so good luck.

Also, put a ad on Craigslist (with pictures of your work) it's free. I have three new customers this year from CL.

No mail boxes, that's against the law.

Flyers can be placed in paper boxes.

What part of Knoxville are you working?

Welcome!
