compact tractor vs. skid steer

I am considering buying either a skid steer with a brush cutter attachment or a compact tractor with a pull behind deck. The mower would be used to cut undeveloped areas in new communities on a monthly basis. Typically anywhere from 5-20 acres. What's the better choice?

There is no better choice, they both have there places where they excel, I have both and each works good, but I did start out with the tractor first.

Tractor attachments are less expensive that skid steers.

Tractor will give less foot print vs Skidloader for brush hogging in the soft conditions
Most time you drive the tractor to the job vs hauling the skid steer unless you live in a big city
But if you do a lot dirt work a skid steer will out work a tractor

I'd say at least a 55hp tractor first. That will give you enough to grow into a skid steer. I have a 33hp wanted a 55ho but got talked into the 33hp because of size. I just find that there are more times then not the extra 20+ hp would be of some help.
