Drop & Broadcast Spreaders

I will be buying both, but need your help. Looking at Bigfoot, Earthway, Lesco and Accupro. Most are 1500 to 4500 sq feet. Any other thoughts would be great, and websites to purchase these items and parts. Looking for Best coverage, and durability plus flexibility around flower beds and walkways. Many have deflector plates on the broadcast, Do this work like advertised?

Thanks for the Help,
Brian Rose

Most use a Lesco spreader, spyker is pretty popular also. Most just have a broadcast and skip a drop spreader. But if you want both Lesco makes a combo unit broadcast and drop in one spreader.

Right now Lesco has a spring sale going on spreaders and stuff. So you can save some money.

Lesco spreader...where to buy

I saw one of the Landscaper companies employ one of these Lesco broadcast spreaders a year ago. It had soft wheels and can old 50lbs I think. Where are these bought? John Deer apparently has these but I do not see a Deer dealer locally. When I put in my zip on the JD website it is giving me the run arounds. I am close to Southern States and they don't have very good spreaders or have you bought the Earthway spreaders? What do you think of them?

I have an Earthway that I use. Around $200. Has metal gears and pneumatic tires. Works really well.

I like Earthway myself, don't have time to drop spread, I drop 80 to 100 pounds in that hopper I need it gone, today, preferably in under 5 minutes... My only complaint with that is the Earthway's 3-hole system doesn't let the material through as fast as some with just one big hole but overall that's a small price to pay for a great working spreader.
