Don't pile mulch up against the bark of a tree, you'll trap water there and restrict airflow to the tree's root's. Try to leave a 6 -12" space between the tree and the mulch.

Oh i didn't now that! thank you ill defiantly do that on my next mulch job. Still learning every day
