Carrying Kombi Tools on the trailer

Do any of you out your Kombi tools in a whip rack for transport?

I'm looking to order a Greentouch xtreme rack, but I'm worried about putting the kombi tool in it. My thinking is that if I make it so you have to push the tool into the receiver, then click it into the handle end, it will be ok because the pin end couldn't pull out causing the tool to come apart.

I own the three place trimmer rack from greentouch. Other people like them, I dont care for them. My back up husky trimmer which accepts attachments does not fit the rack. This rack also damaged my stick edger. Puttting those aluminum blocks on everything is a hassle. Putting my handhelds in harm's way when I place them on the rack is unacceptable. There are other racks out there that will not damage my stuff.

What rack do you recommend then?

Am I crazy thinking I can carry my kombi tool on the whip rack? Though the more I think about it, I may end up storing the powerhead and all attachments in my toolbox, but when I'm using it as an edger, it would be nice to carry it with the whips.

Also, how did it damage your edger? I don't see a need to always be changing the blocks around. As I remove the guard from the whip I add the blocks.

I'm wanting to know how everyone stores the extra attactments when not in use. Looking for ideas for my box truck. Would like to be able to lock them but could do without.

My extra attachments go in the toolbox on the front of my trailer.
