2011 eXmark Vantage with 74hr , is this a fair price? Or wait for a V-Ride.

I'm going to sell a house soon and will make a fair amount of profit. so I'm thinking of a new or near new stand-on. I found this one on CL for $5400. or should I wait and get a new V-Ride? Also which newer mower is most like the 2 Grate Dane Surfers I now have? It's the older ones with the fold up platform on the back.

Does that Vantage have the Ultra Cut deck? If so, you really should compare decks not machines. Scag deck=good all condition deck but prone to scalping. Exmark, I believe, leaves more manicured cut but does not do quite as well in wet conditions.

I run all exmark and they do not cut good in wet grass at all, I would wait and get the v-ride

I bought a demo 2012 52" Vantage this season for $5,100.00. New warranty and had 32hrs on the meter. Superb machine all around. Controls are very smooth, quite fast if you want it to be, and the Ultra Cut deck is the best normal conditions deck in production. I've owned most of the top brands over the past decade and a half, and currently run eXmark, Wright, and Toro. You won't be disappointed, I find it to be the 1st machine off the trailer, and the one all the guys go for if they have a choice. Top notch no question......

Here's the CL ad.

What would be a "good deal" price on this mower?
My house will be closing in about two weeks.

IN one sense the asking price is fair until one considers how old it is. Engine warranties do not transfer and some dealers do not honor the original warranty either. Found out that the hard way.

There are some Vantages on Ebay if you want to compare.

Just an opinion but I'm thinking $48-4900 is fair.

For reference purposes I have been able to purchase low hour 1 year old machines on Ebay for 50% of new list.

Good luck!!

Btw, I have a 60" Vantage.
