Weird Vibration during low rpm Takeuchi TL 130

Hey guys, like the title says I am getting a weird vibration noise during low rpm's while working, it doesn't effect power. When I give it almost full throttle the noise goes away and everything sounds normal.

I am thinking that it is the alternator. My belt was kind of loose, so I tightened it up and the noise changed. Also, I was able to slightly wiggle the alternator pulley.

Also the noise is not always there, it comes and goes throughout the day.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Adam

It is the exhaust.

Some of the tl130's had an inferior alternator bracket setup that cracked prematurely, though I haven't seen this to show itself in vibrations as you speak of. What was the exhaust doing?

Check the idler pulley bearing. Mine hummed like it was running the AC all the time.

At lower rpm's the engine seems to vibrate more, the tail pipe that bolts to the muffler and comes through the trap door was making the noise. I am going to weld a couple of supports from the tail pipe back to the muffler housing and see if that helps. The alternator bracket with the two small lock bolts does seem pretty wimpy.
