Dodge Dakota starter problem

My Dodge has a starting issue. Everyday I am never sure if it will turn over or not. I turn the key and it will click. Then I wiggle the steering wheel and keep turning the key and then it will fire up. Mechanics all seem to tell me different things. One guy says change the the ignition , another says I have power steering fluid dripping on the starter causing to malfunction, another says new starter.

Anyone have this issue before?

If the click is coming from the starter, it is getting power from the ignition switch. Probably a bad starter.

Starter contacts, if it was a Chevy I would say ignition switch.

Buy the contacts only take starter out change contacts and you are set, did it on both my rams in less than an hour total time.

Good luck.
