What are you doing about all this rain??

I'm pretty new to the business, I have 8 accounts I take care of after my regular full time job and my days off. With all this rain here in the south east what are you doing and how long after the down pours do you wait to get back mowing? I tried to mow Friday after a 10 hour dry spell and got to my account and the ground was so soft I was leaving trenches, I immediately stopped and told them I would be back when it dries up.

I mowed most of mine on thursday in the rain with the 21" so I wouldn't leave ruts. I did a few with the WB and sulky that I knew wouldn't rut the yard. My legs were feeling it afterwards using the 21".

Yeah that's what I am probably going to have to do. I really wish it would dry up.

My 48" walker w/ ghs saved my a$$ this week. We cut 23yds on Wednesday. Half got cut in a steady drizzle. If I wouldn't had my walker to bag the wet grass, no way could we have finished my route.

luckily i'm not really behind since i don't schedule yards to mow on fridays. i only schedule mowing mon-thurs. i was able to cut one yard friday morning since it was sortof dry but it started raining right after i finished the yard. i just put the other yard i had to mow off until this next week. it's a weekly cut so waiting 2 weeks one time isn't gonna kill anything. not much to do when it rains 3 days straight but wait it out.

Wife took the baby to my moms. So I decided to get a jump start on bushhogging this week. Good thing i have an enclosed cab. Looks like 2morrow might be a washout.
Weather rolling in. It's raining now.

Does anyone ever try to mow a day early if rain is forecast the next day?

I will try to work ahead of the rain instead of waiting for the rain to get me behind schedule.
