CM and Bradford built are the best of the best.. Aluminum is fine on the street but if you flex your truck alot ive seen the aluminum beds break welds and crack. Steel is more flexible and anyone can weld it. Oh, and something to check for especially up north in the salt belt- Look under the deck and make sure the bed is built with C channel and not Tubing.

That doesn't matter. The municipalities/states are increasingly using calcium chloride, on the roads. That stuff eats everything, including concrete. The C-channel on my flatbed is collapsing. The boxed frame of the truck has holes completely through it. One of the repair shops says he consistently replaces 2-3 sets of coils springs and at least one complete set of brake and fuel lines every month, because of it. I put two front sets of springs under my daughter's car, because of calcium chloride. It's a bad deal.
