4th July how many working on residential routes

Due to the rains we are running a day behind, and of course Thursday is 4 th July... How many of you are sending residential crews out to cut...
I will struggle to catch up loosing another day, but do customers get upset at being cut on 4th July.. We isn't go out last year, but we weren't behind either. Thanks guys.

Early in the morning i wouldn't see the harm. After 1 or 2 pm is normally when all the party's start
You can never have to much horsepower or too much money.... It's just hard to have both.

A good friend will bail you out of jail but a best friend will be sitting next to you saying dang that was fun..

Out of respect for the customer having a day off and not disturbing them, there's no way.
All equipment is wore out. <- Never mind. All equipment has been repainted and with new decals. It's like I have new mower's again!
48" Ferris WB
36" Ferris WB
All Echo hand helds
<- That's how I feel at the end of the day.

I'll be sending all of my crews out in full force.

Wait. I AM all my crews!
And yes, I'm mowing. (like I said in the other thread on the same topic )

I checked in and everyone either (a) won't be home, or (b) isn't doing anything that I would be interrupting.

The alternative is skipping a week, losing hundreds of dollars, and having a mess to cut the following week.

The ones I mow on Thursday will be ones that won't care. I only take care of a handful that would have something going on anyway.

If you are in this business, taking a day of in the middle of summer isn't always possible. Why throw off a schedule if you don't have to? Seven days of growth with all this rain is bad enough. The Thursday people might understand why it got done off schedule, but suppose you have a washout on Friday. You are trying to catch some of the Thursday lawns on Saturday, and some Friday lawns might not get cut until Monday. And so on.

I don't need a day off bad enough to worry about it. If you can get all your stuff done by to tomorrow and be ahead, go for it. But you are going to have some 8-day growth next week.
