Aerating qoutes

Alright this is the first year im offering aerating and overseeding, One of my lawncare accounts wants a quote for this fall, total grass is just under an acre, When you give a quote are you including mowing the lawn first or is the price just for running the aerator? I figure im gonna charge JUST AERATING 130$ on top of mowing first for 45. Then whatever the seed and fert runs will be 1.5x that? so 45 mow+130 aerate+1.5x cost fert and seed? Any help would be appreciated! Im in the NC piedmont as well

I charge what I would mow for labor to aerate $35 + $99 = Price to aerate $134.

If you have to or are going to mow that would be another $35.

The price to over seed is price to mow to cover the labor $35 + the cost of the seed and it's mark up $95 = $130 to over seed.

Now if a slit seeder is to be used then add $99 to cover the cost of the slit seeder. $229.

Numbers are used as an example for size of lawn, and seed type and cost vary.

My minimum is $125 and that is for around 2-K. Anything less than my minimum i have no desire to do.

You have to remember that if the HO were to rent one they are going to pay at least $50 or so for the rental, time to pick up and return, plus do the work themselves and they probably have no idea what to do.
