Bargaining at a dealer.

Before the lawn season starts back I'll be heading to a stihl dealer and was wondering how much you think I can get a discount on? I plan on getting,

1 stihl BG 86 handheld blower $259
1 stihl fs 110 r trimmer. $349
1 no spill gas can 5gal. $36
1 stihl trimmer line roll. $36
1speed feed trimmer head. About. $40

So about a total of $720 before tax.
So do you think I could get that for at least $600? Before tax... I really need some input on this!!! Please help! thank you!

The dealers really don't have much mark up. They can't come off much. My buddy is a sthil dealer and he has shown me his cost on the stuff. I got a br600 he knocked $30 off he made like $3 I got a 55 hand help he knocked of $17 off he made $0.

Yeah..,with the flat nozzle it goes to 191 mph and it is professional grade. Otherwise I would go for a backpack, but iv got other things I haft to buy also, so I just can't afford a backpack for a couple of years but this is kind of my first "hurra" year, trying to get the "I mow a few yards" into a better quality business.

How much do you think your customers will be able to get off your jobs and pricing?

IF you were going to do $750 of work is it ok for them to just pay you $600?

I think you just walk in there and pay what the price tag is….

How much do you think you can get off a Big Mac… go haggle with them…let me know the results.

You might be able to get something like a free pair of gloves or earmuffs, but this is a tiny purchase in the dealer world

You can probably beat them up for 10% off, but is that worth getting put to the end of the line when you need service
