Is Tifblair centipede really worth the extra $$ over common centipede?

Ive had some people tell me it is and some say there is really no difference Tifblair is just a marketing campaign. Thoughts?

Don't know where you are located. However a couple of advantages is that Tif Blair does not go dormant as quickly as common centipede and is a little more tolerent of different soil pH. It does seem to grow and spread a little quicker but if you have time and like to take care of your own lawn then go with the Tif Blair. Watch your fertilize and avoid any potassium Muriate--it will slowly decline.
