Leak was 9GPM not surfacing. 300' surface line with a 120' vertical drop

I found it at the base of a house extension. I was pretty much saying at first that I can't do the repair because it's more then likely under the house and I didn't want to compromise the integrity of the house.

So Mr. homeowner dug a portion of it up for me C-Y-A

Leak was going directly into foundation drainage with no surfacing.

The leak was a crack in the 1.25 " copper. Originally I was just going to do a nostop repair coupler but the copper was crush and in such a oval shape I couldn't shape it back..

Come to find out the copper was only 8' long as it was poly from the meter and then converted to CPVC inside the crawlspace.

Technically to code copper entering into the house is what it's supposed to be. But I just extended the 200 psi poly up to the CPVC. The water district guys actually stopped by while I was on this job.. It's always fun to BS with those guys. They didn't care- he was surprised I found the leak

I forgot to take a few pics on this job

Irrigation system had a ML Leak but not surfacing. I accoustically tracked it down in the middle of the driveway - a bad bell ending glue joint in the sleeve.

Look what I found when I started exposing one of the sides. This isn't where the leak is even at it's 20' into the driveway.. One HAPPY Tree!
that is crazy pics dude, and what a mess.

Friday was a simple water service line replacement.

I broke the trencher so that was getting fixed.

My coworker and I dug it.. Easy! Even slipped the lady my number and have a dinner date coming

Everybody else thinks finding leaks is about saving water and preventing damage. Fools, it's about chicks.
