West Wood Lawn & Landscape

Hey Guys, I have been on Lawnsite for a while reading all your posts and learning. I have been cutting grass for a couple years now just doing about 15 residential homes with my dad but this year im trying to grow the business. I am 16 (just got my licence) so now im upgrading my equipment, advertising and trying to get new clients. So I thought it was time to start my own thread.

So far I have been gaining many new residential accounts and 2 new commercial accounts.

So heres just some pics of my equipment and some of the work I have done.

The Ransomes I bought at the beginning of this season cash and it was back at the dealer within 3 weeks - I just got it back 2 weeks ago and now it doesn't work again so its for sale, trying to sell it this week. Looking to buy either a stander or a walker.
I bought the Toro Turfmaster 30 after 2 weeks of cutting with a 21 push when the ransomes was at the dealer - it was all I could afford and new with a warranty so I bought it, and it has been great.

I also bought the new trailer at the beginning of this season. Its a 6x12 a step up from the 4x8 I used to use. I bought the trailer to haul the ransomes and the push mowers but for the first couple weeks I had it all I had was 2 push mowers in it.

The other mowers are a Honda Commercial 21 and another smaller Honda push. I also use Stihl handhelds.

Work on making your stripes straight. Stripes and edging make your lawn 'pop.' Also how do u like that toro? My cousin has one and said its not worth a **** in wet grass.

Yeah I know the stripes weren't the best, it was my brother operating the machine and I just took the pics but anyways I like the Toro its great and leaves a nice cut, I havent really used it in wet conditions but so far im pretty happy with it.

Yeah I honestly probably would not recommend the Toro because it is underpowered but right now its doing all the cutting and working just fine however it does clog up a lot in wet or longer conditions but in normal dry grass it does fine and leaves a pretty good cut.
