Umaxx 47-0-0

Anybody tried it? Success? Fail? Claims are 8 to 16 week response (based on the rate of N applied of course).

How do you get 47-0-0, if urea by itself is only 46-0-0?
By chance are they adding some 82 percent anhydrous ammonia?

I am a bit skeptical--would you mind doing a side by side comparison are your own yard? Photos after 8 weeks so we can judge the difference for ourselves.

Yes, I have used it and still use UMAXX in one of my blends. It does last at least 12 weeks. I do not know how it is 47-0-0, but it is. Just remember, if you are going to tank mix it with straight urea you are reducing the length of time it lasts. All my blends contain either UFLEXX or UMAXX. I have used them both for 6 years and love the results I get with them.

Depends on what you pay and how much you want to apply. Mine is all in blends I came up with.

Just make your own. Hydrexx plus meltable urea is the same thing. Contains a a urease inhibitor and a N stabilizing agent. The only difference is in price! 10 ozs./50lb. bag is the 6-8 week version and 20ozs./bag is the extended version. Farmers use it as Agrotain, which is the urease inhibitor. Riggles, part of the stabilization agent used is a dicyandiamide. It is used as a counterion in the molecular form of (NC2)N-. That is what probably gets it up to 47-0-0. I wouldn't say it lasts as long as advertised, but it does extend the life of the urea.
