Pulling the clutch button - what throttle speed

Homeowner to a new Scag Cheetah (Kawasaki 31hp, 61" deck)

I tried searching this site, but failed. At what throttle speed are you engaging the clutch button. I tried various speed positions, but nothing sounded or felt right.

I always engage my walkbehinds at 1/2 to 5/8 throttle and disengage at idle. I engage my Lazer at 1/2 to 5/8 throttle and disengage at 1/2 throttle. But its quick. I slame the trottle to half and engage and quickly slam it to idle or half and disengage. I don't wait around for the motor to completely level out. I think its VERY important to disengage at a lower speed also. I can make my clutches last a long time.

Engage: as low as possible without stalling the engine ~ 3/8, (reduces clutch wear)
Disengage: idle (reduces clutch wear)
