Customer Asking to Mow and Weed Whack beds

I had 2 different customers ask if I could mow, / weed whack there empty flower bed weeds, WHEN I was there doing weekly maintenance, even though this was not in the agreement. I only mow lawns not flower bed weeds for free but for a price, would you charge them?

Could go either way. How large were the beds?

Normally, though, they would pay extra.

That is what round up is for. Spray it a couple of times a season. The lot will look better and save you time.

Spraying the beds is standard for me. It does save time and it looks good since the beds stay clean.

Not trying to be an a$$ but I hope you have a pesticide license to do that. They have been cracking down hard on guys in our part of Georgia (central Georgia) for that. Just a friendly heads up!

Do you really have to have an applicators license to apply a non-selective herbicide?

Only if you're getting paid. You can do it for free all day long.

That won't pass with an inspector. You are getting paid by the customer to do work. He will consider this is part of your work.
