Hardscape Demonstrations

Really? Another Demonstration?

Got an e-mail yesterday for HNA. Big e-mail about the hardscape demonstrations at the show.

This is a prime example of how the hardscape industry markets heavily to START UP, ROOKIE contractors.

Veteran Contractors see their work in their sleep. They don't need a freakin demonstration. That's for kindergarten level contractors.

My Equipment Brag List:

-1 CAT hat
-16 pairs of Hanes socks (the Heavy Duty model), many with holes.
-12 pairs of underwear, ranging from Joe Boxers to Jockey, many are in need of replacement. (no more photo requests please)
-hundreds of t-shirts. Some w/ grease stains, some torn & tattered.
-7 pairs of jeans, ranging from Levis to Polo to GAP. 1/2 of them have holes in 'em.
-1 belt
-1 pair of old worn out Nike shoes.

I like the new product showcases. Free swag, meet the reps etc. never been to a demonstration though. New yorkers are too mean for that

I don't quite understand you. You complain about crap work that others do but yet you seem to have an issue with this demonstration. Do you not want anyone else in the business? Why not just decline the invitation and move on?

I started out with zero training, just watched a lot of youtube and read alot. Did 4 jobs for basically free for family and friends to gain some experience. I would have attended a demo when I was getting started, I dont see what the prob is.
