Some customers are really nice.

I have a out of state customer that lives in Florida that I take care of there lawn at there vacation home at the lake here. Well I get a call from them today, there wondering if I had send the invoice for Junes mowing. It had totally slipped my mind. Some people are really nice.

Yup. As far as clients go, I have really good ones.

I have one lady who gets cut weekly that truly could be cut biweekly without issue who will sometimes hand me payment when I arrive and say "It's fine, just cut it next week - consider it a paid vacation."

Update:

Same lady. Today.

ring ring

Me: Hello

Her: HI! I just wanted to thank you for cutting up those limbs last week!
It's as thought you read my mind!

(She had a downed limb - "largish" in size)

Me: No problem. Like I said in my note, I was running behind, or I'd have done more, but I thought that since the grass wasn't bad, I'd cut those limbs for you in place of trimming this week.

Her: You're the greatest lawn guy ever!

Me: Heh - Why thank you - I try!

Her: No, really... you're awesome. That saved me a lot of work. What do I owe you?

Me: Nothing. Like I said, I just cut the limbs in place of trimming - it took about the same amount of time.

Her: Well, you're due for a paid vacation! I'm going to pay you this week for this week's cut AND for next week's, but you don't need to come next week!

Me: OK. That isn't necessary, but I do appreciate it.

Her: No, thank YOU and have a great day!

Awesome.

Update:

She also included an additional $20 tip for cutting up the limbs.

So on a 30 dollar lawn, I received $80 today.

Some customers really ARE nice.
