Which grass seed to overseed clients lawns with?

I am located in Charlotte, NC and need some advice on which tall fescue seed to overseed my clients lawns with. I know a lot of people use john deer lesco seed but its pretty expensive since I'm not buying in bulk because I'm not sure how much aeration and overseeding I'll be doing so I'll be buying as much as I need at a time. Plus every time I call they give me a price and when I get there its always much higher and I can get cheaper seed at home depot.

So I'm looking elsewhere at all my options. I'm only looking at 50lb+ bags. I know home depot and lowes are pricey but tractor supply has a ultra premium tall fescue mix for $69 and they have Kentucky 31 for $59 per bag but a lot people tend to stay away from kentucky 31 from what I've heard. Southern states has a tall fescue mix for $69 as well. Of course none of these tell whats exactly in them online but I'll go look in person. I just wanted some opinions on what you use and what kind of prices I need to expect to pay since I'm not buying in bulk.

Keith, i only go through around 1.5-2pallets and i am around $55/bag. If you charge enough you can afford it. You know before you give the price how much your costs are your good to go. I have tried others but with yards with no irrigation i would use trigold

Learn how to read the seed analysis breakdown label so as to avoid planting as few crap~weeds as possible. There are lots of good cultivars...and if your state extension office is like mine they may even have a recommended list for your area. Will guess they have archived info as well.

What varieties of fescue are in your blend?

I'm trying a hemi, turbo, and bullseye blend this year

I found a grass seed that I can get for $65 a 50lb bag. It has 34.55% escalade tall fescue, 32.60% piedmont tall fescue, 31.55% rendition tall fescue. 1.30% inert matter and no noxious weeds.

Decent?

W/o knowing much about those particular fescue cultivars, I'd say that's pretty good as far as avoiding junk/crap seed.

I can get it from queen city lawn and landscaping. They sell seed and other landscape supplies to the public.
