ditch witch sk650?

Hi,

I would like to get a few opinions on purchasing a DW sk650 with high hours it would be close to 2000hrs. The dealer would go through the machine to see what might need to be replaced so this makes me feel a little better.

Is this too many hours to consider getting this machine? how many hours can the machine actually take before having to replace the motor?

Thanks!

You'll be fine. The engines are bullet proof and everything else can be replaced easily.

Depends on the price and what you can put aside for repairs if necessary in the future.

Last year we purchased a Vermeer sk600 diesel.
450 hours . We paid $10k even with a bucket from the dealer.
I think that dw is a little more machine than ours, but similar in new pricing.
I guess the answer to your question is what you feel comfortable with. I personally would like the 7k mark.
Good luck with your decision and purchase, let us know how it goes.
